The Living Arts Institute offers:

Lectures on its philosophy and the theoretical basis for LAI's process and methods.



 

 

 

 

Workshops/Classes on mask-making, art and movement at organizations around the Cape (senior centers, assisted living, schools, after-school programs, women’s groups)



 

Training for those interested in learning how to lead their community in:

Democratic Theatre practice

Building Community - how to mobilize resources from the ground up, top down and inside out through the arts and education

We collaborate with national leaders in the fields that relate to our annual focus topic (aging, the environment, the commons as examples). LAI travels to other communities and as well as teaches locally. We are currently in the process of becoming certified for healthcare professionals to receive continuing education credit for our lectures and programs.

The Living Arts Institute has been invited to present its model at the NATIONAL COUNCIL ON AGING and THE AMERICAN SOCIETY ON AGING National Conference in Washington D.C. in 2008.
